Theresa Culver is a junior transactional attorney with F&E LLP. Prior to joining F&E LLP as an associate attorney, Theresa served as in-house corporate counsel for the largest utility billing and management company operating in the United States, Europe, Canada, Puerto Rico, and Mexico. While there, she oversaw the legal compliance for the Student Housing division and provided legal advice and counsel to clients and internal staff. Theresa also has experience advising the company on various data security and privacy laws and regulations including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). In addition to her corporate counsel experience, Theresa worked for a mid-sized full-service law firm representing common interest developments (i.e., condo associations and HOAs). Theresa currently focuses her practice on corporate governance and formation, contractual matters, merger and acquisition transactions, and compliance with state and federal securities filings. Additionally, Theresa contributes to the firm’s niche service of corporate clients in pursuit of government contracts and the advisement of service-disabled veteran owned small businesses.

 

While attending law school, Theresa was an in-house corporate counsel intern at a publicly traded Real Estate Investment Trust. She also worked at the County of San Diego Assessor’s Office and volunteered with the University of San Diego Veterans Legal Clinic. Theresa was a member of the San Diego Journal of Climate and Energy Law where she served on its editorial board as an articles editor.

Theresa earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Allegheny College (2013) in Meadville, Pennsylvania. She received her Juris Doctorate from the University of San Diego School of Law (2018) with a concentration in Business and Corporate Law.
